Grand Farm is excited to welcome Marco Torresan to the team! Marco is joining us as our Field Technician. He supports the day-to-day execution of field trials by preparing research plots, operating equipment, and collecting data. His hands-on work helps ensure emerging agricultural technologies are tested accurately in real-world conditions.

Tell us a little bit about you!
“I grew up in the countryside in Northern Italy, near Venice. My grandad, who was a dairy farmer, instilled in me the passion for Agriculture and I ended up in Fargo chasing that passion.
What college did you attend? What was your major?
“I studied Agricultural Science and Technology at the University of Padova, in Italy. Then I continued with a Dual Master’s Degree in Sustainable Agriculture that brought me to the US, at the University of Georgia, where I graduated in 2025.”
What’s one activity that energizes you?
“Meeting people that are very passionate and knowledgeable about something energizes me, especially if they are passionate about Ag.”
If you could take a 30 day, all expense paid vacation, where or how would you spend your time?
“Road trip is the way! I would love to go on a road trip around Australia or South America.”

Do you have a favorite book or movie?
“I have a favorite book, it’s The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.”

“I have been in 41 US States.”
What’s your favorite part about living in the FM area? What’s your favorite hidden gem that Fargo has to offer?
“I haven’t been here long enough, I’m just starting to explore!”
