Fargo, ND – Grand Farm is excited to announce that U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins will visit the Grand Farm Innovation Campus on Tuesday, April 22 to participate in an agriculture technology demonstration.
The visit comes following an invitation extended by Senator John Hoeven during Secretary Rollins’ confirmation hearing earlier this year. Sen. Hoeven, a strong advocate for advancing AgTech innovation in North Dakota, underscored the importance of showcasing Grand Farm’s work as a national leader in autonomous agriculture and precision agriculture.
“Our farmers, ranchers and agri-businesses have built North Dakota into a world leader in production agriculture, and our efforts to advance precision ag technologies, like we’re doing with Grand Farm and their partners, will help maintain our agriculture industry’s competitive edge. We are bringing Secretary Rollins to North Dakota, both so she can see the exciting new developments in precision agriculture that are happening right here in the Red River Valley and so she can get direct feedback from our ag producers,” said Senator Hoeven. “This will be invaluable to Secretary Rollins as she works with us to keep the farm in the farm bill. At the same time, this is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the partnerships we’ve worked to craft between Grand Farm, NDSU and others and secure key support for strengthening such initiatives.”
The demonstration will provide an opportunity for Secretary Rollins to learn firsthand about North Dakota’s leadership in precision and autonomous agriculture technologies.
“Grand Farm is honored to host Secretary Rollins and grateful to Sen. Hoeven for making this visit possible,” said Greg Tehven, Grand Farm Board Chair. “This is an opportunity to highlight the innovative work being done right here in North Dakota that is leading the way for American agricultural innovation.”
