Please join us for a press event on Vantis, North Dakota’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) network, and the state’s renewed investment in this innovative technology.
Vantis is transforming the UAS landscape in the state and across the country, enabling repeatable, scalable, and economically viable drone flights beyond visual line of sight of the pilot. BVLOS flights have not been attempted on a statewide scale anywhere else and are considered the “holy grail” of the UAS industry.
Some of the leaders who will speak about this future-facing technology include:
- Brent Sanford, North Dakota’s Lieutenant Governor
- Nicholas Flom, Executive Director of Northern Plains UAS Test Site, which administers Vantis
- Ray Holmberg, North Dakota State Senator
The event begins at 11:30am, at Grand Farm Test Site, south of Fargo. Following a lunch, please stay for the Grand Farm Field Day on Autonomy in North Dakota, from 12:30 p.m. to 2, to hear from speakers and see demonstrations of the technology.
The press conference will also be broadcast on YouTube Live at https://youtu.be/D89niI6TI7c.
