Plug and Play Agtech Expo - North Dakota
When Grand Farm was first dreamt up, it was quickly identified that North Dakota didn’t have enough access to venture capital. That’s when we helped recruit Plug and Play, an accelerator from Silicon Valley, to invest in and bring agtech companies in to the Fargo ecosystem.
In March, Plug and Play North Dakota launched and 14 startups were selected to collaborate with startups, partners and the community to help solve some of the biggest challenges in farming. This culminated in the AgTech Expo on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at Grand Farm that was livestreamed across the world. Here, the startups presented about their companies.
"Expo is all about collaboration and networking,” said Felipe Gonzalez, North Dakota Agtech Program Director with Plug and Play. “It's the chance for all startups to finally graduate after their three months program and showcase to corporations, investors, mentors and the general public the evolution and growth of their companies. The event gives the chance of different industries being connected and figuring out how technologies can have an impact across multiple industries."
During the expo, Plug and Play CEO Saeed Amidi gave a virtual presentation and local agtech company Bushel Founder Jake Joraanstad talked about his entrepreneurial journey. Each of the startups then gave a virtual pitch of their company.
The 14 startups included…
- AGRON Solutions
- Continuum Ag
- Olho do Dono
- Rabbit Tractors
- Ukko Agro
