Grand Farm Welcomes New Teammate: Prabhat Poudyal

Emerging Prairie is excited to welcome Prabhat Poudyal to the team! As Startup Coordinator, Prabhat will provide support with planning and executing partner collaboration and projects, as well as collecting research and project data.

Tell us a little bit about you!

“I am originally from Nepal. I grew up in the Kathmandu, vibrant ancient capital city and the gateway to the Himalayas. I have my mother and father back home. In 2022, my higher education brought me to Fargo, and now my new role with Grand Farm brought me back again. My hobbies include travel, sports (cricket, badminton, table tennis), road trips, home cooked meals, and learning and experiencing different cultures.”

 

What college did you attend? What was your major?

I went to NDSU to pursue my Masters in Plant Pathology. I started in the fall of 2022 and graduated in May 2025.

What’s one activity that energizes you?

Long drive with my playlist.

If you could take a 30 day, all-expense paid vacation, where or how would you spend your time?

Either a road trip across the US (all 50 states) or visiting back home as I don’t get to see them as often.

Do you have a favorite book or movie?

The Shawshank Redemption. The Dark Knight, Into the Wild, The Green Mile are very close.

I would love to fly a plane someday.
